To accommodate the company’s growth in Canada, Equipment Technologies leaders announced they have hired a new Regional Director to manage business development, sprayer and parts distribution, and customer experience in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Eric Friesen brings almost 20 years of experience in farm equipment maintenance and business management to the new role with Equipment Technologies, manufacturer of Apache Sprayers and Bruin Sprayers. After starting his own mobile equipment repair business in 1999 in Norquay, Saskatchewan, Friesen went on to grow his footprint in the maintenance and repair management sector. He’s earned multiple professional certifications and managed several farm equipment repair businesses, ultimately becoming service and sales manager for a machinery dealership. That dealership received national awards for service excellence on multiple occasions, culminating with the Achieved Top Service Award for Bourgault Industries in 2016.
Friesen’s combined experience across multiple equipment manufacturers and in different sales and service capacities make him a great fit as a leader in Equipment Technologies’ growth in Canada, according to Matt Hays, Equipment Technologies CEO.
“Eric understands our products offer a very compelling value proposition and have enormous potential in Western Canada. I feel lucky and am sure we could not have a better man representing us in the marketplace,” Hays says. “We have known Eric for years, having watched his successful professional advancement through the years and being impressed by his focus on taking good care of customers.”
In his new role, Friesen is responsible for all business development. That includes managing the distribution of parts and sprayers in order to ensure the greatest possible experience and that the value proposition of Apache Sprayers and Bruin Sprayers are properly conveyed to both new and existing customers. It’s a role for which he feels he’s not only well-prepared professionally, but one that taps into his personal interest since his earliest memories.
“I grew up on a family farm, and my love for the farm and equipment never left me,” says Friesen, who with wife Doreen has four children ranging in age from 14 to 20.
