The Product Support Group at Equipment Technologies, Inc., located in Mooresville, Indiana is seeking an Application Specialist to help grow the technical service department for the Apache Sprayers line of agricultural self-propelled sprayers.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate has in-depth farm machinery knowledge and customer service and technical support experience with a proven customer satisfaction track record.

- Environment: Professional office setting 75% of the time and 25% of time spent in the field
- Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8 AM to 5 PM with one on-call Saturday a month during the busy season or as business dictates.
- Qualifications: Seeking a professional in the agricultural industry that is mechanically inclined with farm machinery experience AND has a strong customer service/support background.
- Skills: Ability to professionally communicate, troubleshoot, diagnose and provide timely solutions remotely (over the phone) and in the field for our valued customers and dealers with a sense of urgency.
- Abilities: In-depth knowledge of agricultural machinery and technical experience with engines, hydraulic systems, precision agriculture, electrical, and mechanical systems (gearboxes, transmissions, etc.)
- Experience: Two – Five years of experience in related fields as well as, customer service experience.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth product knowledge and outstanding customer service for our dealers and growers. Be the go-to brand ambassador and most valuable resource in the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our equipment.
- Provide customer service and technical problem-solving, via phone, for dealers and customers. Including taking calls after hours and on weekends.
- Utilize company resources such as guidelines and service manuals to accurately provide service and support. Assist with the continual improvement of service support training materials.
- Conduct operational and technical training for dealers and customers, both in-house and in the field.
- Travel when needed to perform field troubleshooting, training, and machine demonstrations (no more than 25%)
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as required by management
Skills and Experience
- Professional experience in problem-solving customer service issues and providing technical mechanical support in the agricultural industry are preferred.
- Mechanically inclined and competent in the use of hand tools.
- Experience in dealing with upset customers and skilled in de-escalating conflict situations while providing a resolution.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications with a willingness and ability to learn our business software and applications.
- A positive mindset with a can-do attitude.
- Communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.
- Honest and trustworthy. Constructively work with fellow employees and customers.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
